Here is a list of my five favorite gift ideas for the guitarist in your life (or for those of you wanting to drop hints to your friends and family).
These are all products that I use, have used, and feel confident that they will work well for you. Make sure to bookmark this page so you can use these gift ideas all year long.
1) Go Big of Go Home – The SPARK GO
Positive Grid Spark Go ($149 currently on sale for $119)
This compact, portable, practice amp sounds amazing and fits in your guitar case. Same ones I use in class. I love them.
2) I say it every year and can’t believe everyone doesn’t already own this software
Transcribe! Software App ($39)
This is probably the best guitar tool that I own. It has proven to be one of the best music learning tools ever. Easy drop in an mp3 audio file, and loop it, adjust the speed, adjust the pitch, the volume, the EQ (ie. remove vocals). Also works with video files!
3) This is the coolest!
Personalized Guitar Picks ($20-25)
Comes with 20 personalized picks and a tin pick case for $25. Print on both sides if you like. Scroll down to see the product.
4) Maybe a little boring but a staple for every guitar player.
Snark Tuner (SN-1) (under $20)
This is still my favorite of the “headstock tuners”.
5) Don’t wait until you’re holding a guitar to learn theory…
Guitar Fretboard Memorization Flash Cards ($23)
Great for learning the fretboard especially while away from your guitar. These cards are created by my friend and fellow teacher, Rich Freeman (Tuned In Guitar Lessons/ Miami). Great gift!
